Sarfaraz scored 15 years and 338 days in 2013 against South Africa U-19 in 15 years and 338 days. Vaibhav’s achievement also makes him the youngest Centurion in the young Odis globally, which crosses Bangladesh’s Najmul Hussain Shanto, who formed a century in 2013 and 241 days in 2013.
Vaibhav’s Blitz also broke the record for the fastest young ODI century. Kamran Ghulam of Pakistan had earlier kept this record for his 53 balls against England U-19 in 2013. For India, Raj Angad Bawa’s 69-ball century against Uganda in the 2022 U-19 World Cup was the fastest before the knock of Vaibhav.
