New Delhi: The Indian Defense Establishment has finalized a broad tight structure to ensure that drones derived from domestic private sector companies do not have Chinese components and electronics. The mechanism with the expected technical verification and evaluation method will be applied in a few months to further strengthen the level of the check already applied, including more comprehensive certificates provided by the drone-maker.Additional Director General of Army Design Bureau Major General CS Mann said, “The framework is completed and subject to approval. Once approved, it will be fully tested to ensure that our equipment is free from any security weaknesses.”This has become mandatory as the armed forces started receiving a large number of drones in the last few years amid military conflicts with China. Operation Sindore against Pakistan, which had rapid limits from May 7 to 10, has further outlined the requirement of such a mechanism.
