The holiday almost turns into a tragedy: swimmers survive the boulder falling into a narrow waterfall – video

Swimming a holiday in a waterfall in Utah, the United States turned into a moment of chaos and nervousness, when the big boulders suddenly fell to a group of visitors. The incident took place on 24 June at Lower Kaif Creek Falls. Many scenes of the accident went viral on social media and it was shown how close people came to get serious injuries. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) videos from Utah shows visitors enjoying water when a large part of the rock crashes below the upper rocks, then the water is splashing. There was no injury, however, park officials urged people to be vigilant while visiting the area.NBC News posted a video on Instagram with the caption: “The swimmers missed on a large boulder falling into Utah.” The video was viewed more than 632k.A user commented, “Really the most lucky people who have seen in a very long time,” while another couple, “Wow … it would have been terrible to see that this person was recording. Thank God, thank God that they are fine!”Park officials explained that due to the size of the rock overhang, the rocks can fall away from the base, reach both the swimming area and the shore. This has made the site risky for visitors and officials say security is their highest priority, as reported by Fox Weather. “It is not a backyard swimming pool, but a distant and natural place,” said the National Memorial Manager. “Outdoor entertainment can naturally be unexpected. Lower Kaif Creek Falls is a world-famous destination, and we want to ensure that everyone understands risks when they go.”BLM stated that last year, a visitor was injured by a falling rock and was to be airlifted for medical care. Since then, security assessment has been going on and officials are working to determine future steps to protect visitors.
