Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhammi takes Jungle Safari in Corbett National Park

Ramnagar: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday took a jungle safari in the Dhala range of Corbett National Park located in Corbett City, Ramnagar.Speaking to ANI, the Chief Minister talked about the rich biodiversity of the region. “Corbett has tigers, leopards and various other animals. Uttarakhand has 70 percent forest area. We are planting many more trees here in the national park. Each division of the park will also plant 1000 fruit trees.During the journey, CM Dhami also met elephants in the park, fed them, and interacted with forest Rangers.Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has also taken strong action against the misuse of government welfare schemes. He has instructed the authorities to identify and work against those who have gained fake benefits using fake documents.Following his orders, two separate FIRs were registered at Kotwali Nagar and police station Rajpur police stations in Dehradun. This action was taken after the District Supply Officer and Ayushman India Department submitted complaints to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dehradun.Investigation found that. Many people with annual income above 5 lakhs received ration cards for economically weaker sections. These fake ration cards were then used to create an Ayushman card and under the scheme illegally subsidized health services were claimed.The supply department later verified and found many of these ration cards fake, causing Swift legal action. CM Dhami has instructed the officials not to leave any unqualified person and take strict legal steps to prevent misuse of public welfare resources.On Saturday, CM Dhami also flagged off the first group of pilgrims for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Tanakpur, marking the formal beginning of the holy journey. The group reached Tanakpur on Friday night and was welcomed by the Chief Minister to the Tourist Rest House (TRC).He interacted with the pilgrims before sending him with his best wishes.Speaking to ANI, the Chief Minister said, “The group has moved ahead of its main stop, Tanakpur for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The group of devotees reached here last night … all arrangements have been made to ensure pilgrims, safety, a smooth journey and any inconveniences.”
