Israeli jets attacked the Hauthi goals in Yemen; Bombing on arms sites associated with Iran; Seized ship, power plant hit

The Israeli army confirmed a air strike on several ports in Yemen in early Monday, targeting sites associated with the Hauthi group. Strike hit the ports of Hodedah, Ras Issa, Al-Salif and Ras Contemp Power Plant.In a post on social media platform X, the IDF wrote: “Directed by IAF Jets, Intelligence, Al Hudaidah, Ras Isa, Salif and Raas Kanatib Power Plants killed the goals of hawthi terror on the ports of the power plant … IDF will continue to work against dangers for Israeli citizens.”According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the attacks were repeatedly in response to the Hauthi attack on Israel, including the launch of drones and missiles. The IDF also accused Houthis of threatening global shipping by attacking commercial ships passing through the Red Sea.One of the major goals was the merchant ship “Galaxy Leader”, which the IDF said that Hauthis seized in 2023 and equipped with radar systems to track ships in international water. The Israeli army claimed that the ship was being used to support the “terrorist operating” in the sea.Ras Kantib Power Plant was also hit, Israel said it was being used to support military activities.
