Novak Djokovic made a sluggish start to defeat Alex de Minaur and book a place in their 16th Wimbledon Quarter Finals on Monday. The 38-year-old Serbian came from a set to win 1-6, 6–4, 6-4, 6-4 in three hours and 18 minutes, which was on the course for the record 25th Grand Slam title. But he fought through a 19 -minute game in the second set and eventually got his rhythm. Djokovic broke late in the third and resumed five direct sports in the fourth to seal the victory. He said, “I was very happy to hang hard in the right moments and win it,” he said.
Subsequently, he will face the Italian Flavio Koboli, with a possible semi -final clash against World No. 1 Janaik Sinner Lump. In other places, Belinda Benik defeated 18th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6 (4), 6-4 to reach his first Wimbledon quarter-finals.
