Friendly sky for budding pilots: DGCA to rank Indian flying schools from 1 October. Bharat News

New Delhi: First, flying schools in India will be ranked by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) from October 1, 2025, such as the safety records and 200 hours of flight to meet the safety records and time on several major parameters – which is one of the necessary things to earn a commercial pilot license (CPL). The ranking will be published bi-annually, “Preferably on 1 October 1 April 1.” The FTOS scoring will be ranked a ++ for 85% and more; 70–84.99%as A; 50% -69.99% and b. As below 50%.All FTOs will have to submit the display data within the scheduled timeline for timely scoring. “DGCA reserves the right to verify the data presented through audit and inspection. Misconceptions can adversely affect or invite regulatory action. FTO ranking system fulfills the dual objective of protecting student interests and ensures a pipeline of safe and sustainable development in India.”
