Former Indian off-spinner R Ashwin has shared strong views on Rishabh Pant’s growing legacy, saying that wicketkeeper-better has gone beyond being a “novice” and is eligible to be benchmark against the elite testing batsmen, not only as other keepers. I want to be a benchmark against Rishabh Pants.” Ashwin admitted that comparison with Adam Gilchrist is common, but he feels that they do not do justice to the pants’ all-round game. “People often compare them with Gilchrist, but that is not.
