Rescuers find lost Australian surfer on uninhabited island

Sydney: A teenage Australian surfer feared that a deserted island was rescued after spending a night at a distance of miles on Thursday after being lost in the sea, said the authorities and local media.The man named in the local media as 19 -year -old Darcy Defholts had allegedly gone to a surf from a beach in a coastal city of Voli, 480 km (300 mi) north of Sydney.He left the house on Wednesday afternoon.New South Wales Police said in a statement, “When he failed to return home, family members approached the authorities.”He said that the police began searching for a land and water around the Voli beach, and the next day the surfer on the small island was “safely located”.According to Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, the person spent the night on the coast of about 12 kilometers (seven miles) on the north solitary island.The rescue was a “one in a million miracles”, the teenager’s father Terry told paper on social media that he was the worst fear. His son was getting medical treatment.
