NEW Delhi: Mumbai Police on Friday registered a non-cognitive crime case against Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gikwad to slap a hostel canteen worker, reported news agency PTI.Geekwad on Wednesday canceled the dispute when he allegedly overtaken an employee and killed Akashwani MLAs in a hostel canteen in Mumbai’s Colaba. The incident strongly condemned not only from the opposition but also from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his sub -Aknath Shinde.After the outbreak, Gikwad accused the canteen of working on stale food, the state’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rapidly suspended the license of the contractor running the Akashvani MLA Hostel canteen.FDA officials said that food samples were collected from the canteen and the license will remain suspended until the laboratory report determines the quality of the food. An official confirmed, “16 food items were collected.” In this, Dal Gikwad claimed that it had deteriorated.The FDA is expected to submit its report within two weeks. Officials clarified that the action was independent of political pressure, Suu Motu. A source close to FDA Minister Narhari Zirwal said, “Samples have been sent to the department’s laboratory for analysis.”The FDA record shows that the final inspection of the canteen was held in February.Army MLA Sanjay Gikwad caused more controversy by targeting the Shetty community, claiming that they are “ruining the culture of Maharashtra”. Speaking to the news agency PTI, Gikwad accused Shetty community of establishing suspicious business in Mumbai, especially the dance bar, claiming that the city’s atmosphere has deteriorated. “For those who accuse me, I ask why they do not speak against Shetty people coming to Maharashtra and ruin the culture. I am not taking the name of South, but business, dance bar, women’s bar, hotel and other times have spoiled the environment,” Gikwad said.
