Fear for Mohammadi life: Iran threatened the Nobel winner on activism; Committee requested protection

The Norwegian Nobel Committee said on Friday that Iranian human rights activist Nerges Mohammadi was awarded the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize for its work, which supports the freedom of women’s rights and freedom of expression in Iran, threatening to death from governance. 53 -year -old Mohammadi has spent several years in jail and was recently released from Tehran’s Evin Jail on temporary medical leave.
