New Delhi: A Russian woman, whose visa ended in 2017, was found and was rescued from the secluded cave in the Ramattha hills of Kumta Taluk in North Kannada district of Karnataka, with her two young children. PTI reported that 40 -year -old Russian Rashtriya, Nina Kutina, also known as Mohi, came to India on a commercial visa and found his way to the holy coastal city of Gokarna through Goa.She had been living in the cave for about two weeks with her children, Priya (6) and AMA (4), completely separated from civilization.The family established a basic living space inside a natural cave located between dense forest and challenging areas.Inside the cave, Mohi maintained a Rudra statue and dedicated his time to ‘worship’ and meditation, while taking care of his children in his isolated.On Friday, after a landslide incident during a standard patrol, a team of Circle Police Inspector Sridhar saw the clothes displayed outside the entrance of the cave.The authorities navigated Mohi and his children through dense vegetation of Ramtha hill to stay in the cave.Superintendent of Police of Uttara Kannada M. Narayan told PTI on Saturday, “Our patrol team hung sari and other clothes outside the cave in Ramtha Hill. When they went there, they saw Mohi with their children with Priya and Amma.”He said, “It was quite surprising how he and his children survived in the forest and what they ate. Thankfully, nothing happened to him or children during his time in the forest.”Officials believe that she reached the cave place from Goa.Investigation revealed that in 2017, her visa had missed uncertainty around the total period of living in India.Narayan said, “We have made arrangements to stay in an ashram run by a Sadhvi. We have started the process of taking her from Gokarna to Bengaluru and starting the exile process.”Authorities have approached the Russian Embassy through a local NGO to start exile procedures.
