Pacer Arundhati Reddy bowled Tammy Beomont with a clever slow ball, then Amy Jones rejected the next ball when Radha Yadav dicted a short leg to complete a brilliant low catch. India turned a late twist with England with a requirement of five off three balls. But Sophie Aclestone and Paiggy Scholfield held their nerves to guide England’s house on final delivery. Earlier, India posted 167 for 7 after scoring 75 off 41 balls from Shafali Verma. She hit 13 fours and one six, reached fifty in just 23 balls-the second joint by an Indian woman in T20I. India may have lost the last game, but the series victory was historical. Both teams are now ready for the three -match ODI series starting on July 16 at Southampton.
