‘Killed’ by Meta, CM Siddaramaiah asked Tech Company to stop translations

It is dangerous when it comes to official communication. My media advisors have formally urged. Such negligence by technical giants can harm public understanding and trust. ,The CMO said that it sent a mail to Meta, seeking immediate intervention. The CMO urged Meta to hit the ban on Kannada auto-discomfort, until it made the facility better. This asked Tech company to collaborate with Kannada language experts and professionals, “to increase the relevant accuracy of translations from Kannada to English”.CM’s media advisor KV Prabhakar wrote, “We have mentioned with the concern that auto-translation from Kannada to English is often wrong and in some cases, it is gross misleading.” Prabhakar warned that such blueoopers can create confusion, especially when they include public communication, official statements or important messages from CM or government. “Many people cannot feel that what they are reading is an automatic translation instead of the original message,” he said.
