Indian cricket star Smriti Madhana, with more than 9,000 international runs and more than 1,000 limits for their names, discussed their preparations for the upcoming 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in a recent conversation at the Cricket Predicta Show. The tournament opener saw the host India Face Sri Lanka in Bangalore on 30 September, as Madhana also announced to launch his new Cricket Academy in Dubai.Mandana shared his measured approach to prepare for the World Cup with cricket scholar Sunil Yash Kalra.“I have always been a big believer in not thinking much further. We have to focus on this process, correct every day-and this is the objective,” Mandana said.He further emphasized the team’s mentality in the tournament.“Even as a team, everyone is calm. We have found a long road ahead in the next five to six months. I would not like to speak a lot about it. Cricket is such a game-you correct their things, things fall in place. Just try and do so well,” he said.Mandana has partnered with UK -based coach Don Bhagwati and expanded her cricket participation by Smriti Madhana in Dubai by launching the City Cricket Academy.Talking about her partnership with Bhagwati, Mandana shared her journey from initial apprehension to a close relationship.“This is a great partnership for me,” Mandan said. “Right now, I am focusing more on my cricket, and Don will handle coaching. I have known Dawn for many years, and when I first heard his name, I was scared. I was surprised, who is this ‘Don’? But over time, Dawn and his family have become like a family for me in England.”
