New Delhi: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Sunday that the government is open to discuss major issues like Operation Sindoor in the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament, provided that discussions should be held according to the “rules and traditions” of the House.“There are many issues that parties have expressed interest in discussing in Parliament. We are ready to discuss with an open heart. We work according to rules and traditions and keep them in great value. Therefore, we will discuss every issue, but according to rules and traditions,” Rijiju said after an all-party meeting.“Twenty-four members participated in the all-party meeting today. It was a very positive session. All party leaders gave their inputs, and we have noted them. We have requested everyone that the session should be held successfully. It is important to run Parliament peacefully and productive. We can be related to various parties and ideologies, but it is our collective responsibility to run the house effectively, ”he said.Rijiju also called for a government-evidence coordination to ensure the smooth functioning of the session and reiterated that the Center would “respond properly” if the opposition raises the issue of claims on US President Donald Trump’s Operation Sindoor. He said, “This is a very welcome suggestion. All-party delegations were well received and effective for various countries after Operation Sindoor. All those valuable experiences should be shared with the nation,” he said. While briefing the media, Rijiju also said that a consensus was given to start the process of impeachment against Justice Yashwant Verma. He claimed that the number of MPs who had signed the proposal for their expulsion had already crossed 100.“In the Justice Verma case, the process will be done collectively by all the parties. It is not just a government,” Rijiju said.He said, “I cannot comment on any commercial priority, as the matter is not passed with the approval of the chair until the matter is passed by the BAC (Business Advisory Committee), I cannot make an announcement outside … Signations are being collected and already crossed 100,” he said. This comes when the monsoon session of Parliament is going to start from Monday. The session is expected to be stormy with the opposition’s India Block and the BJP -led government to collide on several issues. The opposition has demanded a discussion on the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and it is called “drip” in foreign policy, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should personally answer these debates.
