India’s 14-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is changing heads with its fearless strokeplay and record-breaking performance in England’s U19 team tour. After playing an important role in the 3–1 ODI series of India U19, the young opener left another impression in the Red-Ball format, with a battle of 56 in the second innings of the recently concluded first youth test. Not only did he anchor the innings under pressure, but Suryavanshi also became the first player to score half a century and took a wicket to take a wicket in the same youth test at the age of 15, which remains a rare achievement in international youth cricket. Known for its aggressive style, the swashbuckling batter has burnt the tour with a score of 86 out of 31 balls in the third Youth OD in Northampton, followed by 143 runs for 143 runs in 78 delivery in the fourth ODI in the Worster. Suryavanshi scored 355 runs at a shocking strike rate of 174, clearing the ropes 27 times in the series.
