China confirms the leaders of the European Union to travel on Thursday for the summit.

Beijing: China confirmed that the top leaders of the European Union would go to a summit on Thursday, as the two major trading partners want to smooth a series of business disputes.Beijing’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday, “Between China and the European Union, European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission Chairman Ursula von Der Leyen will visit China on July 24.”The ministry said, “President Xi Jinping will meet him. The State Council Lee Kiang’s premiere and two European Union leaders will jointly preside over the 25th China-European Union Summit.”The summit will mark the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Beijing and Brussels.But this comes when the two sides have criticized each other who looks as a violation of the principle of each fair business.Von Der Leyen said this month that the European Union would demand unbalanced of economic relations with Beijing, which reduces market access to European companies and loosens export control over rare earth.The Ministry of External Affairs of Beijing urged the block to “handle diversion and friction properly” and “establish more purpose and rational understanding of China”.
