The athlete, which holds a personal best of the 53.17 seconds achieved in April, expressed his disappointment with dealing with the position of the authorities.“The team official tells me that the date and time to present is over, and we are trying. But when it is a global competition, how can a World Committee accept an entry that is scored and written with a pen?” Devaniiba questioned.“This can be very casual for the authorities, but not for me, being an athlete, who has missed entering the global competition in this way,” said Devniba.

“A fee of 2.50 lakhs for representing my country, and I missed to get an entry in the last moment,” Devniba captioned her social media post.This phenomenon is not isolated, as World University Games have faced other examples of mismanagement. The Indian badminton team, who won a mixed team bronze medal in the tournament in Germany, faced similar administrative issues when six of the twelve selected shuttlers were prevented from participating due to alleged administrative laps.
