“This test looks a hundred very special,” Sundar said in a conversation with Cheteshwar Pujara on Gehotstar. “I just wanted to fight for a whole day and was the only message given to me by the coach (Gambhir).”In his junior days, a top-order batsman, Sundar, gave the order an opportunity to make a high contribution: “I was going to bat at number 5 anyway. I was padded for two sessions. I am very happy that I got that opportunity. If I could bat in the future, it would be a blessing.”On his partnership with Jadeja, Sundar said that he focuses on the clarity of completely surviving and purpose: “We just wanted to play for each delivery qualification. The wicket was doing a little work. The building partnership was important. The first job was to see the new ball.”He said, “We wanted to let the results get away from the ideas and just focus on every and every delivery.”India ended at 425/4 in their second innings, reeling at 0/2 after gaining a first innings lead of 311 runs, with Shubman Gill, Jadeja and Sundar to draw a draw for centuries.The final test begins at the oval on 31 July.
