IPL: KKR ‘mutually’ part with Chandrakant Pandit, Bharat Arun | Cricket news

Mumbai: Kolkata Knight Riders have participated with their head coach Chandrakant Pandit and bowling coach Bharat Arun, Toi has learned firmly. Arun was also the bowling coach of the India team till 2014-2021, it was a year when Anil Kumble was the head coach of Team India. According to a source, Arun has been appointed as the bowling coach of Chennai Super Kings. A top CSK official, however, denied this development.Toi several times tried to contact KKR CEO Venky Mysore, Pandit and Arun, but there was no response to the three.Confirming the development in a post on ‘X’, KKR said: “Pandit has decided to find out new opportunities and will not continue as the head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders. We are his invaluable contribution to KKR for the IPL Championship in 2024 and helps in creating a strong, resolution squad. His leadership and discipline have left a permanent impact on the team. We wish him all the best for the future.,The three -year term of an experienced domestic coach, Pandit, was with Shah Rukh Khan’s ownership. After assuming the team reins in 2023, Pandit was given status as the best and most experienced coach in domestic cricket, directed KKR for his third Indian Premier League title in 2024. However, Ajinkya Rahane’s captaincy, KKR finished eighth in IPL -2025, won only five of his 14 matches and lost seven.

During Pandit’s three -year tenure with KKR, the franchise produced some Indian players Rinku Singh and Harshit Rana, even mystery spinner Varun Chakravradhi made a successful comeback in international cricket last year.Pandit is currently the head coach of Madhya Pradesh.Meanwhile, during the IPL-2025, KKR has re-appointed former India assistant coach Abhishek Nair as its assistant coach. Nair, who was recently nominated as the UP Warriers Head Coach in the Women’s Premier League, is ready to continue in that role.
