New Delhi: Former-BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur said on Thursday that not only a win for him, but for every ‘Bhagwa’ to acquit him by the court.“I have been saying this from the beginning that there should be a basis behind those who are called for investigation. I was called by him for investigation and arrested. This ruined my whole life. I was living a sage’s life, but I was made and an accused, and no one voluntarily stood next to us. I am alive because I am a sannyasi, “Pragya Singh Thakur told the court. He said, “He maligned God through a conspiracy. Today, God has conquered, and Hindutva has won, and God will punish those who are guilty. However, those who have maligned India and Bhagwa have not proved wrong by you,” he said.The NIA Special Court in Mumbai gave its verdict on Thursday, acquitting all seven accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts. The court concluded that the prosecution failed to establish the case beyond a proper suspicion, leading to acquitting the accused, including Pragya Singh Thakur, Major (retired) Ramesh Upadhyay, Sudhakar Chaturvedi, Ajay Raheerkar, Sudhankhar Dhar Dwivedi (Shankaracharya), and similar kuli.The court ordered the Maharashtra government to provide compensation to the families of the victims, giving a prize of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured people.During the test, the court investigated 323 prosecution witnesses and 8 defense witnesses before reaching its verdict. The accused was acquitted of all allegations under the illegal activities (prevention) Act, Arms Act and other related charges.Judge Abhay Lohati said, “The prosecution proved that an explosion occurred in Malegaon, but failed to prove that the bomb was placed in that motorcycle”.The court also explained discrepancies in the medical records, stating, “The court has come to the conclusion that the injured were not 101 but 95 and only manipulated. Some medical certificates.”The court found no evidence of another accused in this case, stored or gathered at the residence of Prasad Purohit.The court said, “No sketch was done by the investigating officer while doing the Panchnama. There was no finger print, dump data or nothing else.The case is back on September 29, 2008, when an explosive tool for a motorcycle near a mosque in Bhiku Chowk in Malegaon City has exploded in a motorcycle, resulting in six people killed and 95 others injured.
