The India-England Test series has produced high quality cricket, but injuries have played an equally dramatic role as teams have dropped it out in the final match at the Oval. The latest shock came on day 1 when England all-rounder Chris Woakes hurt his left shoulder by diving to stop a border. He went away holding his arm in a soften and was dropped from the rest of the match. There is a quick look on the growing list of players who have raised injuries during this five -match series and missed the resulting games:

India:

  • Rishabh Pant – Fractured his right leg during the fourth test in Manchester. He batted in the first innings of that match, but did not take the field to take wickets. He was dropped from the second innings of the fourth Test and the entire fifth Test.
  • Nitish Kumar Reddy – After the third Test, he injured his left knee in the gym session. Missed the last two matches.
  • Sky deep – Lords suffered a back injury, missed the fourth test. He is fit and available for the fifth test.
  • Arshdeep Singh – Thumb injury was faced during practice before the fourth test. Returned to the fifth test, but the player not in XI.

England:

  • Chris Woakes – While fielding on day 1 in the oval, his shoulder was injured. There is no possibility of any other role.
  • Ben stokes – Missed the fifth test due to a correct shoulder injury before before in the series.
  • Shoaib Bashir – Fractured his finger during the third Test at Lord’s. Out of the last two tests.

At the series level 2–2, both teams feel toll fought tightly, physically mentally.
