New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister, a Revanath Reddy, found himself at the center of a political and media storm on Friday, in which he commented about young journalists, who used to criticize the press bodies and social media users equally. These comments came during the 10th anniversary celebrations of Telugu Daily Nawa Telangana, where she had described as unlike the dedication of senior journalists, which she described as a lack of etiquette among young reporters.

He then criticized young journalists, saying, “Now, young journalists do not even know about those senior journalists. They do not even have general knowledge to stand when those senior journalists come... I sometimes feel like slapping them. But the circumstances and the situation come in the middle. ,The statement triggered displeasure, many people made it derogatory and unbalanced as a Chief Minister. The Press Association has demanded an explanation, although Reddy has not released any formal reaction.In the same incident, CM also criticized political parties for starting a media outlet to serve his interests. He further alleged that some journalists were essentially political activists and warned real journalists to separate themselves.He said, “Today, anyone who does not know the alphabet says that I am a journalist. He recognizes himself as a journalist,” he commented.Reddy also addressed concerns over the rise of social media-operated misunderstandings and recently pointed to the arrest of the affected people who collaborated with foreign institutions, with the post operation vermilion. The case was filed by Telangana BJP General Secretary Kasam Venkateswaralu, who accused Reddy of making false claims that the BJP would scrap the constitution and end reservation if voted in power.The complaint was being heard in the Special Judicial First Class Magistrate (Excise) Court, which had earlier called Reddy. The Chief Minister challenged the case in the High Court, which had already exempted him from personal presence. On Friday, the court completely abolished the proceedings, offering Reddy legal relief, even on his recent comments, political heat continues.
