Bihar sir: ‘There can be no discussion because …,’ Rijiju ruins the debate; Opposition up charge | Bharat News

New Delhi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Friday dismissed any discussion in Parliament on the Special Intensive Amendment (SIR) of the electoral roll in Bihar, saying that the exercise comes under the purview of the Election Commission (ECI) of India, a constitution body. “I want to clarify that the government is ready to discuss any issue according to the rules. The head cannot be discussed because it is a process done by a constitutional body, and this is not happening for the first time,” Rijuju told ANI.The proceedings of Parliament have faced frequent disruptions as opposition MPs demanded a debate on the ongoing head practice in Pol-bound Bihar. Citing former Lok Sabha Speaker Balaram Jakhar, he said, “Whatever is not in favor of rules and conferences cannot be discussed.” He questioned that who would be authorized at home to answer on behalf of ECI, saying, “This is not the first time EC is doing so.”The opposition excavates, accuses of ‘vote theft’Opposition leaders have been incredible. Talking to reporters after meeting Rahul Gandhi, Speaker of Lok Sabha Om Birla, accused the pole panel of acting on behalf of the BJP. “Whoever is involved in this exercise in the Election Commission, from top to bottom, we will not leave you. You are working against India, and it’s not less than treason,” he said.Congress and RJD leaders in Bihar have also criticized the draft roles released by ECI. According to PTI, the role of more than 65 lakhs in the roll was “not included”, reduced the total voters of the state from 7.9 crore to 7.24 crores. Patna alone saw about 4 lakh such exclusion. The ECI blamed 22.34 lakhs, transferring 36.28 lakh voters permanently and the decline for 7.01 lakh duplicate registration.Rijiju blames protest for Parliament WashoutRijiju also criticized the opposition to stop Parliament. He said, “crores of rupees are spent on running Parliament. The Congress and its allies should apologize to the people for their conduct,” he said. He claimed that disruptions prevent MPs from increasing other pressure issues and violating parliamentary criteria. PTI said that India block intends to re -debate on Monday and push the Business Advisory Committee meeting on Monday.ECI has opened a window for claims and objections by 1 September. After that the final election role is expected.
