Increase in exile: 8 Indians exempted daily from America under Trump | Bharat News

Bengaluru: Indians’ exile from America has increased significantly because there is no secret after Donald Trump returns to office in January this year. It is now reported here how much it is compared to the word Biden and compared to the final year of Trump’s last term: on average, at least 8 Indians were sent back everyday this year, while about 3 daily between January 2020 and December 2024. According to data from the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea), in five and a half years between January 2020 and July 2025, 7,244 Indians were deported for various reasons, and about a quarter of them were sent back after taking charge of Trump for the second time. This growth also coincides with a more aggressive enforcement mechanism. The Homeland Security Department (DHS) also exile through charter flights, sent 300 people back to India on 5 and 18 July.

Gujarat was a distant third, with 245 persons back, while Uttar Pradesh and Goa chased with 38 and 26 exile respectively. These top five states collectively represent more than 90% of all exile recorded this year.The remaining states and UTS reported very few cases. In Maharashtra and Delhi, there were 20 exile in each, Telangana 19, Tamil Nadu 17, and Andhra Pradesh and Uttarakhand 12 each. Karnataka saw only 5.
