New Delhi: The new common central secretariat buildings with Kartavya Path, which will give homes to ministries and central government departments, will be known as Kartavya Bhawan, and the first such building will be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday.Kartavya Bhawan -3 will be among others, besides the Ministries of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Foreign Affairs and Rural Development, besides the departments of personnel and land resources, among others. The transfer of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Personnel to the new address from the North Block in Raisina Hills is a great importance since being operated by the prestigious structure for nearly 90 years.In the next few months, the Finance Ministry will be transferred from the North Block to another Kartavya Bhavan, and in the later phase, the Ministry of Defense and PMO will also pave the way for Use Yugan India Museum from South Block.The government has created 10 new Kartavya Bhavas along with the Kartavya Path as part of the Central Vista Rimp program. Two of these buildings are expected to be completed by next month, which will pave the way for transferring more ministries and departments to these new office premises.In a statement, the PMO said that Kartavya Bhawan was a state -of -the -art office complex, an area of about 1.5 lakh square meters in two basements and seven storeys, including the ground floor. The building is designed to use 30% less energy. The solar panels on the roof of Kartavya Bhawan -3 will generate more than 5.3 lakh electricity every year, and the charging stations for electric vehicles are also provided, it is also provided.The new facility will reduce the cost of repair and maintenance, increase productivity, improve the welfare of the employee and increase the overall service distribution, the government said. It said that the building will facilitate the infrastructure of modern regime, It-Reddy and Secure Works Spac-ES, ID card-based access, integrated services and a centralized command system. These will also promote eco-consciousness.
