Mumbai: Khar police Visited stand-up comedian on Monday Kunal KamraTo find out if he was present there, to find out whether he posted a message on X and said that it was a waste of time.

The police also gave notice to the members of the audience under CRPC Section 179, who authorize police officers to call witnesses for investigation. IPS Officer-Vibhushan YP Singh said that the police had the right to call one or two attendees from the show to record their witness statements. He emphasized that it is not mandatory to call the audience as electronic evidence is already present in the case.

The notice issued to Kamra on 25 March and 26 was required to appear at Khar police station about her controversial comments. He did not appear, as Madras HC granted him interim bail till 7 April.
