UAE: Hamdan Center for Geferdedness sends top students to the prestigious Cambridge Pre-University Program World News

Students of UAE’s Hamdan Center for Giftedness and Innovation, Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktaum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, are currently participating in the prestigious East-Vidyalaya Program at Fitzwillium College University in Cambridge. Conducted from 27 July to August 9, 2025, the initiative provides gifts with a rigorous academic experience, global cultural exchange, and risk on hand in scientific subjects, carrying forward the mission of Hamdan Center to shape a generation of innovative thinkers equipped for the future.
A reputed global platform for talented students
The University of Cambridge Pre-University Program, which is hosted at Fitzwillium College, brings over 250 highly high students from 15 different countries. For more than two weeks from 27 July to 9 August 2025, this program offers participants a immersive educational experience within one of the major universities of the world. Students are engaged in a wide range of lectures and practical workshops spread in major subjects such as engineering, chemistry, medicine and humanities. The program has been structured to come into contact with various schools of cross-disciplinary learning and how to solve ideas and problems. Beyond academic instructions, students participate in focused activities on developing soft skills including communication, leadership, teamwork and cross-cultural understanding. Globally diverse student body presence ensures a vibrant environment for international exchange, which helps students to make connections and expand their worldwide.
UAE participation and Hamdan Center Role
Representing the United Arab Emirates, a selected group of students from Hamdan Center for Giftedness and Innovation is participating in this year’s program. Their participation reflects the widespread vision of the center of enabling young Imiri talent to learn from top global institutions and to participate in a high-level academic network. Director of Hamdan Center, Dr. Maryam Al Gavi outlined the importance of such exposure. According to him, this experience contributes to expanding the scientific understanding of the students, enhancing their confidence, nurturing the spirit of research and innovation and preparing them to be “Ambassador to Knowledge and Excellence” in both local and global contexts. He emphasized that the Center’s approach is spread beyond the classroom academics – working equally on psychological, emotional and social development of students. He said that the program is one of the many initiatives that create an overall educational environment for talented learners. Participation in the Cambridge initiative directly supports the long-term targets of the UAE’s nutritional innovators’ nutritional innovators globally and creates a knowledge-manual economy.
About Hamdan Center for Gifts and Innovation
Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoom Foundation is an initiative for Hamdan Center for Gifts and Innovation, Medical and Educational Sciences established in 2015.
