India to host Singapore ministers for major talks before PM Wong’s visit. Bharat News

New Delhi: The Government of India will host a major platform on August 13 this week to pursue cooperation on issues of mutual interest, including new and emerging sectors. The talks will also set a platform for the visit to India by Singapore PM Lawrence Wong in the first week of September.2 sides upgraded their relationship in a comprehensive strategic partnership during PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Singapore last year.While the Singapore delegation will be included in several ministers, led by Deputy PM and Business Minister Gaan Kim Yong, the Indian delegation will be seen by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitatharman, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.Ministers are expected to find out opportunities to deepen cooperation in six columns of stability, digitization, skills development, healthcare and medicine, advanced manufacturing and connectivity.In advanced manufacturing, Singapore wants to strengthen cooperation with India in semiconductor manufacturing. According to Singapore officials, it will support India’s growing semiconductor industry during the convenience of participation of players of the Singapore Semiconductor Ecosystem in the fast growing Indian market. The establishment of a green and digital shipping corridor between Singapore and India to facilitate Singapore shipping and support the trade and use of green fuel.
