The new H-1B proposal review of the White House to change the lottery: What does it mean, what is next?

Bloomberg reported that a new H -1B proposal made by the Homeland Security Department of Homeland Security, possibly to change the visa lottery, was approved by a major office of the White House. The report said that this proposal may soon get a public release that it has approved the office of the White House. The administration did not reveal what is in the proposal, but it is believed that the proposals are mostly the proposed Trump administration for selection of H -1B petitions. Every year, 85,000 slots are approved for H-1B. A random lottery is conducted through each spring through which the employer is selected to proceed with its petitions. But the first Trump wanted to base the allocation of H-1B slots on wages of administration roles so that tech companies would only appoint high-tribal foreigners for high-skilled roles. The role was withdrawn by the Biden administration and businesses, the immigration groups opposed it and stated that it would ban the number of H -1B.

If the new rule actually turns the selection into wages-based, H-1BS will only be hired for Group 3 and 4. This will protect entry level jobs for Americans, but getting jobs in America will be difficult for foreign graduates. This will lead to a major H -1B shake -up, a Maga worker demanding to protect American jobs. For this change, there will be no need for the approval of the Congress such as the proposal does not include changing the H -1B cap; DHS and USCIS can inform new rules.
