‘First Job, Rs 15,000 from Government’: Unveiled Plan in Independence Day speech | Bharat News

PRime Minister Narendra Modi announced a new job plan, Prime Minister Vikasit Rosagar Yojana (PM-VBRI) during his Independence Day speech at the Red Fort on Friday. He said, “Today, I bring good news for the youth of my country. From today, under PM Vikit Bharat Rosegar Yojana, sons and daughters will be given Rs 15,000 to get their first job in the private sector,” he said. The first approved plan by the Union Cabinet, began on 1 August, 2025. It replaces the earlier employment incentive scheme and is part of the government’s scheme to make more jobs across the country. With a budget of Rs 99,446 crore, it aims to help in making more than 3.5 crore jobs in two years. Of these, about 1.92 crore will be for the first time for people entering the job market. The profit will be applicable to jobs made between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2027. The plan has two main parts. In the first, people were getting their first job and earning up to Rs 1 lakh in a month will encourage up to Rs 15,000 in two payments, after a six months and after the second one year, if they also participate in a financial awareness program. A part of this money will be kept separate in the savings account to encourage savings. In the second part, employers who hire more workers will reach Rs 3,000 per month for each new employee for two years, in which manufacturing companies will get up to four years. To qualify, employers must be registered with the Provident Fund Organization of Employees and appoint at least two additional people if they have less than 50 employees, or five additional people if they have 50 or more. The government says that this scheme will encourage to keep more work and support economic development.
