New Delhi: Former diplomat Veena Sikri has strongly criticized Pakistan for honoring terrorists during her Independence Day events, calling it another example of the deep -rooted support of Islamabad for terrorist groups. Speaking to news agency ANI, Sikri described Pakistan as a “terrorist Mongar” state and warned that India should be vigilant.“We have always said that Pakistan is a state sponsor of terrorism. It is a matter of great concern for India. And our Prime Minister has now declared the new general that every task of terror will be considered as a task of war. So it is a big warning for Pakistan,” Sikri was called Annie. He warned that Islamabad should not allow his army or groups to operate Lashkar-e-Taiba, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words are the amount for “huge warning” against any other misunderstanding.“So I hope they focus on that warning. What he did on his Independence Day on August 14 proves only this point. They have always supported terrorism. They have always supported terrorist groups, giving them money,” he said.Sikri also alleged that Pakistan was using the International Monetary Fund (IMF) fund to reconstruct the infrastructure destroyed during Operation Sindoor in India. “They are now offered to build all their buildings that were destroyed with government money during operation vermilion. So all the money going from IMF is going for this purpose. It is terrible, and the world should focus on it,” he said.In his Independence Day address, Prime Minister Modi welcomed the success of Operation Sindoor and saluted the armed forces for terrorist camps in Pakistan. He recalled the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, where “the husband was killed in front of his wives and his father was killed in front of his children after asking his religion,” saying that there was a response to such cruelty of India. PM Modi told the Red Fort, “Our brave youth punished the enemy beyond their imagination.”The Prime Minister also underlined that Operation Sindoor had a “heavy loss” to Pakistan and marked a new phase in India’s fight against cross -border terrorism. Rejecting Islamabad’s “atomic blackmail”, he confirmed that India would decidely retaliate against any future attacks. PM Modi further criticized the Indus Water Treaty, called it “unjust and unilateral”, and announced that “blood and water could not flow together,” India’s farmers promise full rights over the country’s river water.
