1. Preparation of worship

Personal purification

Add rose water or rose petals to your bath water. While bathing, chant this mantra:

“Om Ganga-Chai Yamuna-Chaiva Godavari Saraswati
Narmad Sindhu Kaveri Jale Asin Sandhim Kuru ”

Wear fresh, traditional clothes after bathing. The purity of the body reflects the purity of thoughts and intentions.

Collect the puja items

  • A small wooden post
  • Red cloth
  • Statues or pictures of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman
  • Diya (lamp), sunlight, fresh flowers

“Shri Sita Ram Chandra Preityartham Ram Navami Pujanam Karishe.”

  • Om Keshavaya Namah – A drop of water sip
