Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh police A 34 -year -old woman was arrested, who was allegedly killed her 16 -year -old daughter for a constant relationship with a separate caste person in Tirupati district.
DSP Betapuri Prasad said that the girl was in a relationship with a 20 -year -old man for more than three years. Despite resistance from their concerned families, the couple married last year. The girl’s mother lodged a police complaint against the person, resulting in her arrest under the Poxo Act and Capture.
The girl, who had become pregnant, was forced by mother to go through abortion. The man was released on bail a month ago. On 4 April, the girl tried to call her on the phone. In a fit of anger, the mother forced her daughter in her lap, shut her nose and mouth with her hands, causing her death. Within a few hours of the murder, the mother cremated the body on the banks of the Swarnamukhi river.
In a hurry, the crematorium raised doubts, and on 9 April, the Village Revenue Officer filed a police complaint. As soon as the police investigation started, the mother ran away from her house. But on Friday, he surrendered before a village grew up that he acted with a combination of anger, fear and social pressure.
