New Delhi: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi echoed US President Donald Trump’s recent comments and said that “the Indian economy is dead”.Rahul expressed his compromise in a post on X and underlined five reasons that he felt that contributed to the fall.Rahul said, “The economy is dead. Modi killed it.”Rahul said, “Adani-Modi partnership; demonetisation and a flawed GST; A unsuccessful ‘failed’ initiative in India; MSMES erased; farmers crushed,” said Rahul.He said, “Modi has destroyed the future of India’s youth because there is no job.”Additionally, talking to reporters, Rahul also claimed that everyone except PM Modi and Finance Minister Neeramla Sitarman know that India’s economy is dead. He also said that the US President has “said the facts”.Rahul said, “Everyone except PM Modi and Finance Minister knows this. It is a dead economy. I am happy that the US President has said the facts … The whole world knows that the BJP has ended the Indian economy to help Adani,” Rahul said.After taking a sharp job in India and Russia, Trump suggested that the two nations can “take their dead economies down together.”In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “I don’t care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, for all. For all. We have done very little business with India – their tariffs are very high, most in the world. Similarly, Russia and USA do not do almost any business together.”Earlier, Trump announced a 25% tariff on all goods imported from India, as well as with an unspecified punishment, from 1 August, the two countries triggered the nervousness among the exporters after the two countries failed to reach an interim trade deal from 1 August.
