AAP’s student wing is a shortage of funds for union polls for eligible DU candidates

The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Youth Wing on Friday announced to support the students of Delhi University, who were willing to compete with the Sangh elections, but were unable to bear the cost.An official statement said that applications for AAP’s Youth Wing, AAP’s Youth Wing, Association of Students for Alternative Politics (ASAP) will be accepted.State President of AAP Delhi Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the objective of this step is to end the dominance of wealth and muscle power in the politics of the campus.“If a student has capacity, but lacks money, we will return them purely on merit. This is a model starting the political process, ensuring that the idealism of the students is not destroyed by free movie tickets and grand parties,” he said.For DUSU posts, applicants should protect 50 proposers from at least five colleges and college level candidates will need 10 proposers from their campus. They will also have to present a video of one-minute for votes and 200 to 500 word statement of purpose.Bhardwaj said that the student union election is the first direct experience of democracy for young people and shapes political culture.“But today, the competition requires luxury cars, vehicles fleet and extraordinary events. This is where political corruption begins,” he said.AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha said, “This is a beginning where talent will be measured by capacity, not cars or cash. Leading skills, oratory, and merit criteria. If we want clean politics, it should start from colleges.” Voting for DUSU elections will be held on 18 September with results on 18 September.
