Popular Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko Salem was injured in a road accident near Tamil Nadu, who claimed the life of his father, CP Chacko.As reported by Manorama Online, the family was reportedly traveling from Ernakulam to Bangalore around 10 pm, when the accident occurred near Salem around 6 pm. Shine and his family were on their way to Salem for medical treatment after the first course of treatment at Thodupuzha.

According to preliminary reports, a lorry closed its street and entered the car in which Shine and his family were traveling. Shine’s father, who was sitting in the middle row with his wife, faced significant injuries and later succumbed to him in the hospital. Shine, who was sleeping on the back seat during the accident, may get hurt in his right hand and need surgery. His mother, brother and assistant who were allegedly driving, suffered minor injuries and are currently treating in a hospital in Dharmapuri.
According to reports, Shine’s brother was seated in front of the driver, while his parents captured the middle seat. Shine Tom Chacko was allegedly resting on the back seat when Laurie suddenly collided with his vehicle.
The driver’s identity remains questions
While the initial reports indicated that the assistant is driving the car, some confusion remains about the exact identity of the person behind the wheel at the time of the accident. Additionally, there are unacceptable reports that another person was also present in the vehicle. A strong statement has not been issued to the authorities yet on the details of the driver and the cause of the accident.
