After Ahmedabad plane crash: 245 bodies given to Kin; Identification of 251 victims so far through DNA tests. Bharat News

Officials on Sunday confirmed that a total of 270 people out of 270 people died, in which the plane crash was identified in Ahmedabad on 12 June. Of these, 245 bodies have already been handed over to the bereaved families.The London-Bound Aircraft left Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 1:39 pm, but crashed at a hostel complex in Meghninagar, slipping into the flames. 270 people were killed in the accident, including 241 passengers and crew. Only one passenger survived.Many bodies of the victims were severely mesmerized or decomposed by the force of the intensity and effect of fire, making DNA analysis the only viable method of identity.Medical Superintendent of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, Dr. Rakesh Joshi said, “A total of 251 victims of the accident have been identified through DNA tests. The bodies of 245 victims, including 176 Indians, 49 Britains, seven Portuguese and one Canadian as well as 12 non-Pesengis.”Among the deceased, 70 victims were from Ahmedabad, 24 from Vadodara, 26 from Anand, and 11 from Kheda. Others came from states like Rajasthan, Manipur, Nagaland, Maharashtra, Bihar and Diu’s center region.Dr. Joshi said that the entire process is being handled with care and urgency: “Since the process of DNA sample matching is very sensitive and it includes legal protocols, it is being completed with severity and speed. Forensic Science University and Affiliated Institutions, Local Administration, Health and other departments of the state government and other agencies are working to hand over the mortal.,On Saturday, the authorities had to re -arrive for the families of eight victims, when the early DNAs offered do not match the samples, requesting new samples of other close relatives.
