In addition, India banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for allegedly disseminating false and misleading narratives against India, wrong information and “propagors and false materials.” This list of banned channels includes Samaa TV, Ary News, Dawn News and Geo News, others.
Meanwhile, Hania Aamir’s Instagram accounts, Mahira Khan, others have been banned in India. Now in its vengeance, Pakistan has pulled Indian songs from all its radio stations. Earlier, new singers like Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and even Arijit Singh, Shreya Goshal dominated the radio channels of Pakistan. Now, according to a report by Bollywood Sheds, the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) confirmed the decision on 1 May.
Pakistan Information Minister, Ataullah Tarar said in a note, “This decision shows a strong sense of national solidarity from PBA … I am deeply appreciated by the PBA initiative, which reflects solidarity and sovereignty to accept solidarity to promote the dignity of the nation.
While Hania’s Instagram account is blocked in India, a report went viral stating that the actress personally sent a request to PM Narendra Modi to reconsider her decision. However, he has now said that this is not true. “Recently, a statement has been falsely attributed to me and is being widely operated on social media. I want to address it directly: I did not make this statement, and I do not support or align with the words associated with me. It is completely coined and wrong that I am and what I believe,” he clarified.
