New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday rejected India’s claim to destroy S -400 Air defense system By presenting it in front of it during his visit to Adampur Airbase in Punjab.It claimed Pakistan’s Air Force (PAF) that its hypersonic missiles destroyed the S-400 system in Adampur. The PAF also shared fake videos and conducted its disintegration campaign.Earlier in the day, PM Modi visited Adampur Airbase, where he interacted with the warriors of the Air Force a few days after launching Operation Sindoor of India. The airbase, which was one of the active airbase during Operation Sindoor, was a major military place, which the Pakistani Army attempted to attack last week on Wednesday, when India launched Operation Sindor, according to the Ministry of Defense, the PTI report.Later, PM Modi called the meeting with the jawan a “special experience” and said that India is always grateful to the armed forces for what he does for the nation.“This morning, I went to AFS Adampur and met our brave aerial warriors and soldiers. It was a very special experience to be with those who are a symbol of courage, determination and fearlessness. India is grateful to our armed forces forever, who do everything for our nation,” PM Modi said in a post on X.Prior to PM Modi’s visit, the Ministry of External Affairs had exposed the “misinformation campaign” run by Pakistan with several false claims, including it damaged the S -400 and Brahmin missile.In a press briefing, Colonel Sophia Qureshi said, “Pakistan claimed that it damaged our S -400 and Brahmos missile base with its JF -17, which is completely wrong. Secondly, it also runs a misunderstanding campaign which is also harming our air areas in Sir, Jammu, Pathkot, Bathida and Bhuj.”It was a few days after India and Pakistan, after a sharp increase in across the border stress starting with a deadly terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahgam, Jammu and Kashmir, agreed to an immediate ceasefire.Pakistan responded with drone attacks targeting areas in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. These attacks were interrupted by Indian defense systems, but the possibility of widespread conflict between two nuclear-head neighbors increased.
