Dehradun: An air ambulance crashed in Kedarnath area, as it reached the ground, landing near Kedarnath Helipad at 11:50 am on Saturday. No casualties were made and all three persons – pilots, doctors and nursing staff – are safe.According to District Tourism Officer Rahul Choubey, who is also in charge of Haley services for Kedarnath, “A patient was suffering from respiratory problems, after which we contacted AIMS Rishikesh for Heli aid. Haley ambulance pilot could not enter Kedarnath Helipad due to some technical issues, after which the pilot tried to upset it.” He said that “the back of the helicopter crashed while landing and the tail broke.” Choubey confirmed that no death was reported in the accident. “DGCA will investigate the case,” he said.
