Air India flight descends 200 feet above Chennai runway as narrow migration for 180 passengers

Chennai: An Air India flight from Singapore had a narrow migration on Wednesday morning when the aircraft was forced to landing shortly before the touchdown at Chennai Airport.Officials confirmed, the authorities confirmed that Airbus landing at 10.15 am before the start of pilots and sudden crosswinds landed at about 200 feet.According to the Airport Authority of India (AAI), the approach was considered “unstable” – the term used in the aircraft when the lineage of an aircraft does not meet the safe landing parameters. “There was a high dynasty rate, and the air condition moved unexpectedly near the runway to motivate the crew to move around,” said an official. The flight eventually revolved back and securely landed in its second attempt after about 30 minutes. There was no injury, and passengers disintegrated without any incident.Aviation sources highlighted that a safe landing requires the exact alignment of the descent speed, rate, and projection – the factors that were compromised in this example due to volatility in weather and approach. The incident adds to a series of recent air security intimidation at Chennai Airport. In March, a Mumbai flight faced a tail strike during landing, and in the last October, an IndiGo aircraft in Jaipur was forced to touch and go in equal conditions.Officers are expected to review the latest event and check the wind pattern data and flight log to determine whether further action is required.
