New Delhi: The flight of an Air India Express carrying 160 passengers from Bangalore had to make its first landing attempt at Gwalior Airport on Saturday, making a brief scare before touching the second attempt. The airline confirmed that the flight “operated a Go-Around after a safe and uneven landing.” Gwalior Airport Director Ak Goswami told PTI that the first landing failed caused brief terror among passengers. He said that the aircraft later left for Bengaluru and safely reached its destination. “Technical staff examined the aircraft after landing and found no mistake,” Goswami said, “Given a failed first landing is a common phenomenon.” A spokesman for Air India Express said in a statement, “The crew is trained to conduct a go-around as a precautionary measure when necessary.” Some passengers lodged a complaint with airport and airline officials after the deeboarding, another official said, PTI said.
