Air India Plain Crash: ‘Was there a cyber attack by the enemy country?’ Sanjay asks Raut; Possibility of ‘sabotage’ question. Bharat News

New Delhi: The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader on Saturday questioned the possibility of security and maintenance lapse and “sabotage”, causing an AI 171 flight accident in Ahmedabad, killing 274 people. He further pointed to the previous political opposition to the Boeing deal, given that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party was against it.“I am not an expert, but there are serious questions about the sabotage in Air India aircraft, which crashed in Ahmedabad within 30 seconds of take off. Was there a cyber attack on the aircraft system by any enemy country, because they try to target our military installations with their cyber attacks?” He asked. “The BJP was against the Boeing deal when this happened, and the Eminent Patel was the then Civil Aviation Minister. People are now afraid to travel by air. Maintenance is important for the aviation sector. Who has the maintenance contract for Ahmedabad? Why is Ahmedabad selected for Ahmedabad?Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar urged people to focus on facts rather than the principles of conspiracy about the accident. “Many principles are coming out. Some retired pilots are sharing their views. Some experts are also commenting. Everyone is explaining the situation in their own way. You should also know that one person survived this accident. So, while many people are speaking from different approaches, I request what happened to what happened.”The government has installed a high-level, multi-disciplinary panel to investigate factors behind the accident on June 12 of Air India Flight AI-171, which was the route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick Airport and claimed 274 lives.“A high -level multi -disciplinary committee is formed on June 12, 2025 to investigate the causes of the Air India Flight AI -171 accident from Ahmedabad to Gatvic Airport (London). The committee will examine the current standard operational procedures (SOPs) and guidelines issued to prevent and handle such incidents and suggest extensive guidelines to deal with such examples in future, “read an order issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.“The committee will not be an option for other inquiries being conducted by relevant organizations, but will focus on preparing the SOP to prevent and handle such incidents in the future,” the order clarified. The panel will assess emergency response, identify the root cause, and recommend policy, operations and training improvements. It will draft the SOP by incorporating international best practices to prevent and manage similar incidents in future.
