New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Dowal met Russia’s first Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov to review bilateral military-technical cooperation and progress on joint projects in major strategic fields. According to the press service of the Russian government, the discussion on Friday, along with defense cooperation, covered the initiative in civil aviation, metallurology and chemical industry. Manturov, who oversee Russia’s defense industry and trade, preside over the Indo-Russia Joint Inter-Government Commission along with the Foreign Minister on business, economic and cultural cooperation along with Jayajankar.The day after the meeting, a day after a former Intelligence Bureau Director, Russian President Vladimir Putin came a day after being called to confirm New Delhi’s commitment to wide-based cooperation with Moscow.
