New Delhi: American Congressman Brad Sharman on Thursday gave an advice for a Pakistani delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari that the country should “do all this” to eliminate the terrorist group Jai-e-Mohammed from the region and to ensure the safety of religious minorities in the country.In a social media post on X, Sharman said that he emphasized the importance of combating terrorism on the Pakistani delegation and in particular, group Jaish-e-Mohammed, who killed Daniel Pearl in 2002.The Congress said, “I emphasized the importance of combating terrorism at the Pakistani delegation, and in particular, group Jaish-e-Mohammed, who killed my constituent Daniel Pearl in 2002,” said the Congressman.He said, “Pearl’s family continues to live in my district, and Pakistan should do all this to eliminate this Vile group and combat terrorism in the region.”Daniel was abducted by jihadi militants in January 2002, when he was on his way that he would be an interview with Pakistani religious Maulvi Mubarak Ali Gilani in Karachi.The US MP also told the Pakistani delegation that security of religious minorities in Pakistan is an important issue.“Christians, Hindus and Ahmadiyas living in Pakistan should be allowed to practice their faith and participate in a democratic system without violence, oppression, discrimination or fear of an uneven justice system.”Sharman further gave his government to the Pakistani delegation. The need to free Shakeel Afridi, which is in jail to help the United States kill Osama bin Laden.“Free Karna Dr. Afridi represents an important step for 9/11 victims,” he said.Afridi is a Pakistani doctor who helped the CIA run a polio vaccination program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to gather DNA samples of bin Laden’s family.Afridi was arrested by Pakistani authorities soon after the US raid on the premises of bin Laden in Abbottabad in May 2011. In 2012, Afridi was sentenced to 33 years in jail by the Pakistani court.The Pakistani delegation gave time to its visit in the American capital around the same time, as the multi-party delegation of Indian MPs led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is in Washington DC.The all-party delegation has informed the important negotiaters about Operation Sindoor in view of the Pahgam Terror Attack and India’s strong resolve to fight the terrorism emanating from Pakistan.Bhutto also landed in the US as a delegation led by Tharoor.Bhutto met United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres along with his delegation with the Ambassadors of the Security Council in New York and later traveled to Washington in Pakistan’s dialect to internationalize the struggle with India, as well as on the Kashmir issue, but instead to deal with terrorism.
