‘I have just given my bat’: Rohit Sharma’s nonsense after the match with Shane Bond goes viral – Watch. Cricket news

New Delhi: A light moment between Rohit Sharma and Shane Bond attracted attention after Mumbai Indians won 100 runs on Rajasthan Royals on Thursday.
In a video posted by the official X (East Twitter) handle of Rajasthan Royals, Rohit was seen joking with a bond child on a video call post-match: “I had just given my bat to the old man. Make sure that he does not use it, you use it.”

The joke came after a powerful performance by the Mumbai skipper, scoring 53 runs off 36 balls, setting tone for a total of 217/2 in Mumbai. Rohit and opening partner Ryan Recelton (61 runs in 38) produced a combat 116 run stand at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

After he left, Mumbai did not slow down. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya broke an unbeaten 48, one person, in which Akash completed the innings with six, in which Rajasthan set a target of 218.
Royals fell quickly in his chase. Kishore Kautuk Vaibhav Suryavanshi fell for a duck, and Yashasvi Jaiswal was out for 13, reeling Rajasthan at 20/2. The rest of the batting line-up suit Jaspreet Bumrah (2/15) and Karn Sharma (3/23) and abolished the middle order.
Rajasthan dropped everyone in 16.1 overs, falling cheaply with prominent players like Ryan Parag, Shimron Hetmier and Dhruv Jurlel. Only Joffra Archer, on 27 runs with a patient, offered brief resistance.
The disadvantage not only eliminated the hopes of the playoffs of Rajasthan Royals, but also extended the Mumbai victory streak in six matches, taking them to the top of the IPL points table.
Considering the loss, the paragon admitted, “190-200 would have been ideal … Middle order would have to step.” Meanwhile, Pandya credited Mumbai’s recent form of “simple, disciplined cricket” – and, perhaps, a lucky bat.
