According to the Guardian report, the newly chosen Pope Leo XIV’s brother has faced a series of aggressive Facebook posts, which attracts global attention to the family relations of the first US-birth Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. Lewis Martin “Lu” Prevost, the oldest among the three prevost brothers, has created controversy after social media users and journalists exposed several inflammatory positions under his name. While his brother Pope Leo XIV (born Robert Prevost) is seen as a calm and open mind, Lu’s Facebook posts show strong support for far-flung politics.According to The Guardian, one of the most talked -about posts of Lu shared a video, in which Democratic Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi is called “alcoholic C ** T”.In another post, he wrote: “Barack Obama and the Democratic Party turned this country into a dictatorship for the total destruction of our way of life, and a racist above it.”He also called for the arrest of Democratic politicians who met Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelanski after the Oval Office Exchange of Zalensky with Donald Trump. Lu wrote that he should face “allegations of treason”.Another post shared an anti-LGBTQ+ MEMMM that wrote: “Your child is not trans-you are just a shit parents.”In an interview with ABC News, Lu, referring to the inclusive attitude of Pope Francis towards LGBTQ+ Catholics, said he was “a little more generous with transcexual and homosexuals and WhatsApp”.‘Stay very calm, cutting my tongue’Pierce Morgan appeared in the show after the scam broke, Lu said about his pelosi post: “If I do not believe like this, I don’t post it.” He said, “However, I did not know that what was coming was coming soon,” referring to his brother’s choice as the Pope. “And I can tell you that I am very calm – cutting my tongue – about some stuff which is on social media.”Social media users were early to react to the matter.A comment read, “Your brother should be embarrassed.” Another said, “Your comments and language are ignorant of anyone. You are ashamed of you. Apart from being bad, it is also factually wrong. I hope it is not a reflection on the Roman Catholic Church.”Prevost Brothers, Lu, John and Robert (now Pope Leo XIV), were raised in a Catholic house in Chicago and attended Catholic schools. John became the principal of a Catholic school, Lu served in the US Navy, and Robert was held in 1982 via church ranks to rise through the Pope Francis and became the Pope on 8 May.
