Apple’s largest contract maker Foxconn has read 300 acres iPhone making campus in India with DEMM for 30,000 employees.

As apple seems to have a variety from China to diversify its supply chain, Taiwan’s firm Foxcon is preparing 300 acres of campus for its workers’ army that collect Apple products. The 30,000 workforce of the Foxconn Devanhali plant is in advanced stages of dormitory construction.Last week, the statement to US President Donald Trump’s apple CEO Tim Cook: “I don’t want you building in India,” made during his Qatar visit to Doha, appearing to have had little impact on the strategic plans of the tech veteran.Despite Trump’s comments, Cook said that most of the iPhones fixed for the US market will be manufactured in India instead of China, the company is constantly progressing towards this objective.Evidence of this commitment is visible in Foxconn’s Devnahalli facility in Karnataka. According to the ET report, on Monday, Taiwan’s contract manufacturer’s extension at the site of 300 acres continued generally, with the ET report, required for the operational structure of Foxconn. Foxcon’s investment plan includes Rs 3,000 crore for Phase 1 (2023-24), with the same amount plan for the second phase (2026–27). According to Financial Daily, the production targets form around 100,000 iPhones by December this year.According to sources familiar with the project, the residential complex has a capacity for about 30,000 staff members, it has been established as India’s largest housing facility. Construction is scheduled for completion by December. Project Elephant represents Foxconn’s strategic initiative to expand manufacturing beyond China. In India, Foxconn and Tata are the main manufacturers of electronics iPhones and related components. The Tata Division has acquired Indian operations of both Vistron and Petron, fellow Apple suppliers.Staff members indicated that some iPhone model’s assembly began in May, with additional variants for August production. With preparations for the iPhone 17 release in September, the organization is giving priority to the completion of its residential facilities.On 1 May, Apple’s Cook announced his hope that most of the iPhones sold in the US during the June quarter would be manufactured in India.Foxconn maintains features in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana. Beyond the Bengaluru unit, he has established a new airpods manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, with the expansion of Apple’s Indian production portfolio.
